- What exactly do they need? The Navy needs a small business to provide installation and material support of CH-53E/K Depot Level Aircraft Modifications, including conducting Depot Level A-Kit installations, fabrication of kits to support recurring, non-recurring and prototype aircraft modifications in accordance with Engineering Changes to aircraft designated by the H-53 Program Office, PMA-261.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract is intended to satisfy Government requirements for FY27 through FY31 and is anticipated to be Cost-Plus Fixed Fee, Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Materials.
- How will they pick the winner? The Government will evaluate responses based on the ability to perform the full range of services described above at the Platform level at their own organic facilities and other locations.
- When and how do you bid? Respondents must submit a capability statement electronically via email to Jamie Schoemaker and Charles Johnson by 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, 30 April 2026.
Who can apply
- 8(a) certified (a small-business program for socially/economically disadvantaged owners)
- Has a proven track record of performing Depot Level aircraft modifications
- Has experience with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and H-53 Maintenance Instruction Manual procedures
Don't bother if…
- You must be able to stand-up aircraft modification capabilities to support aircraft inductions within thirty (30) days after contract award.
- You must be able to produce and deliver aircraft retrofit A-Kits to support the fielding of aircraft modifications.
Heads up — easy to miss
- There's a mandatory site visit on February 14 — if you miss it, you can't bid.
- Travel costs aren't reimbursed separately — bake them into your price.
