The 187th Fighter Wing needs a small business to repair and upgrade its exit gate.

- What exactly do they need? The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the modification and repair of the main exit gate at the 187th Fighter Wing located at 5187 Selma Highway, Montgomery, AL 36109. The scope of work includes gate and support structure repair, gate operator system upgrade, and re-installation and testing.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a firm-fixed-price contract with a base year and two option years. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government, considering both past performance and price.
- How will they pick the winner? Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. The Government will evaluate the offeror's relevant and current past performance on similar projects and the offeror's total proposed price for reasonableness.
- When and how do you bid? Proposals are due on August 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM local time. Submit proposals to Mr. Stephen Shanks, Contractor.

Heads up — easy to miss
- There's a mandatory site visit on July 22, 2026, at 9:30 AM. Interested parties shall meet at the Main Entrance Gate for access to the exit gate area. The attendees must provide name and driver's license information, state and number, of all attendees no later than July 17, 2026.
- Star ID or Passport are required for base access. Firearms are not allowed on base. All vehicles shall be searched.
- The contractor shall comply with all applicable installation/facility access and local security policies and procedures, which may be obtained from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
