- What exactly do they need? The Defense Logistics Agency needs a small business to manufacture ACU coats and trousers for the military. The coats and trousers must meet the specifications outlined in GL/PD 14-04B and GL/PD 14-05C. The contractor must provide product demonstration models (PDMs) for each proposed place of performance, and the PDMs must meet the size requirements outlined in the solicitation.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base year and four option years. The contract will consist of two lots, one for the coats and one for the trousers. The contractor must deliver the items to the specified destinations within 180 days after the award.
- How will they pick the winner? The government will evaluate the proposals based on product demonstration models, past performance, surge and sustainment capability assessment plan, and proposed price. Technical merit is more important than price.
- When and how do you bid? The solicitation will be posted on DIBBS and SAM.gov. Potential offerors must register on DIBBS and ensure they are prepared for the electronic submission process. Only electronic submissions via DIBBS will be permitted.
