The U.S. Coast Guard needs a small business to manufacture high-strength aircraft tie-downs.
Key Details
The Coast Guard needs 60 high-strength aircraft tie-down assemblies, each with a 1.75-inch wide strap and a zinc-plated steel ratchet assembly. The assemblies must be made of commercial nylon webbing with a minimum breaking strength of 10,000 pounds and have a total length of 30 feet. The tie-downs must also be pull-tested to not less than 5,000 pounds and have a working load limit of 2,500 pounds based on a design factor of 4:1. The assemblies must be individually packaged and marked according to MIL-STD-2073-1E, Level B, Method 10, and have a barcode according to MIL-STD-129R.
