The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers needs a small business to perform maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in North Carolina.

- What exactly do they need? The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers needs a contractor to perform maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) channel between Onslow County to Brunswick County, North Carolina. The work includes removal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged. Dredging depths are from 8-12 feet plus 2 feet of allowable over depth for the AIWW channels. Placement of dredged material for the AIWW channels will be on approved ocean beaches and upland placement areas. The upland placement areas are confined placement areas with containment dikes and spillway systems. All dredging shall be performed by hydraulic cutter suction dredge.
