The U.S. Coast Guard needs a small business to manufacture battery chargers for its vessels.

Key Details

  • What exactly do they need? The Coast Guard needs a battery charger that can charge 3 banks of batteries with 20 amps of DC power, 12VDC output, and a battery type selector switch and DC ammeter. The charger must be packaged individually and shipped in the same container.
  • What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a firm fixed price purchase order with no down payments or advanced payments. Payment will be made by government purchase order (net 30) and the vendor must assume financial responsibility until the order is accepted and received by the Coast Guard.
  • How will they pick the winner? The quotes will be reviewed and awarded on a best value basis, with the evaluation criteria being who meets all the technical requirements, meets deadlines, and has the lowest price.
  • When and how do you bid? Email your quote to Erica Perry at Erica.L.Perry@uscg.mil by July 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern. Include the solicitation number 70Z04026Q50247B00 in the subject line.
