- What exactly do they need? The Defense Logistics Agency needs a small business to manufacture batteries for the military. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery contract with a three-year base period and two one-year option years. The acquisition includes seven NSNs, and deliveries will be to various DLA stocking locations within and outside of the continental United States.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery contract with a three-year base period and two one-year option years. The contract length will be five years, and option periods will be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
- How will they pick the winner? The final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and proposed delivery.
- When and how do you bid? The solicitation will be issued on or about 7/13/2026, and the response date is on or around 8/3/2026. The response date is estimated. You can find the solicitation on the DLA Bid website at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp/.
