Boiler Replacement at Durham VA Health Care System

• What exactly do they need? The VA needs a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to replace three boilers at the Durham VA Health Care System. The new boilers are designed as fire tube boilers at 600 HP, with economizers and stacks for each boiler. The three boilers will each provide 22,500 pounds per hour of 80 PSIG steam to the site to meet the 45,000 pounds per hour steam flow requirement. All three boilers will have dual fuel burners with Natural Gas as the primary fuel and Fuel Oil 2 as the redundant fuel. The fuel oil also requires a propane tank and air compressor for ignition and atomizing the fuel oil, respectively.
