The Department of Energy needs small businesses to participate in a technology transfer program.

Key Details

The Department of Energy wants to transfer low-volume, high-impact technologies developed at DOE/NNSA Labs, Plants, and Sites to qualified small and medium-sized businesses. These technologies are often mission-critical but have limited commercial markets.

  • What exactly do they need? The DOE is looking for businesses to manufacture and supply these technologies to the government and other agencies at a fair and reasonable price.
  • What's the contract structure and timeline? The program will be conducted in phases, including technology identification and pooling, SMB sourcing and vetting, matchmaking, and pilot CRL execution.
  • How will they pick the winner? The notice doesn't say.
  • When and how do you bid? Interested parties should contact the DOE/NNSA BUILTT program team at TPIP@nv.doe.gov with the subject line: 'BUILTT for DOE Pilot'.
