The Defense Logistics Agency needs a small business to manufacture a specific cable assembly for the M-E4 weapon system.

Key Details

  • What exactly do they need? The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking a qualified source for the acquisition of a CABLE, INTERFACE, TARGET ACQUISTION SUBSYSTEM, NSN: 6150-01-619-1575, Part Number: 13587713 in support of the M-E4 weapon system.
  • What's the contract structure and timeline? The acquisition is currently being procured under the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) and is set aside for Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) concerns.
  • How will they pick the winner? The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.
  • When and how do you bid? The contractor shall be capable of successfully performing and complying with any and all special requirements in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation annotated above, at the unit prices established at time of a contract award.

Note: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) and not a solicitation. The Government is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources and is not obligated to award a contract as a result of this announcement.

Don't bother if…

  • You must be EDWOSB certified and meet prequalification requirements to be registered as a potential source.

Heads up — easy to miss

  • The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing/production process, including but not limited to: supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, material forecasting, obsolescence issues and final delivery of assets as well as any and all additional costs incurred resulting from contract performance.
