- What exactly do they need? The VA needs a general contractor to upgrade the EHRM Data Center at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The work includes demolition and renovation of an approximate 1,000 GSF of B200 Computer Room and associated HVAC equipment on the roof, infrastructure upgrades within the main computer room, reconfiguration to maximum space efficiencies within the existing footprint, redundant power distribution, UPS, upgrade computer room cooling and distribution, replacement of aged equipment building management system interfaces, fire protection, grounding and bonding, cable management, fiber and copper within the data center, and raised floor modifications.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract with a period of performance of approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
- How will they pick the winner? The solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation.
- When and how do you bid? The solicitation will be issued in late-July 2026. The VA will issue the solicitation as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14.
