The Navy needs a sole-source contract for exhaust shielding on five ship service diesel generators.

Key Details

The Navy needs exhaust shielding for five Ship Service Diesel Generators (SSDGs) on its ships. The current shielding has degraded heat resistance capabilities and poses a high-risk of burn injuries to personnel and secondary damage to equipment. The Government has a need to procure the following items: Cat Hawthorne 263-9521 Shield AS-EX 5 EA, Cat Hawthorne 257-7703 Exhaust Manifold Shield 5 EA, Cat Hawthorne 138-3331 1.2mm Diameter Tire Wire 150 EA, Cat Hawthorne 132-8300 Insulation �Shield A� 5 EA.
