What exactly do they need? The Air Force needs a small business to upgrade the cockpit display on F-35 fighter jets with the F-35 Panoramic Center Display (PCD) Model TR-3. The display must meet or exceed specific physical, functional, and performance characteristics, including a viewing area of 8x20 inches, image resolution of 2560x1024, and a user interface with an integrated infrared touchscreen.
What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract with a period of performance of 12 months from the date of award. The government intends to award without negotiations, and the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint should be included in the initial quote.
How will they pick the winner? The solicitation will be evaluated using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The technical acceptability factor contains one non-cost subfactor, which is the ability to provide the F-35 Panoramic Center Display (PCD) Model TR-3 with technical specifications.
