What exactly do they need? The Navy needs a small business to manufacture fabricated beryllium copper transition bases for its depots. The bases will be made in accordance with Government drawings supplied upon request. The contractor shall identify its equipment to be used for the manufacture and inspection of material and major process steps to be followed for the manufacture of material. The offeror shall submit a report of its recent, relevant similar performances, not to exceed three contractual references and two pages. References shall contain point of contact. If the Offeror does not have any recent and relevant past performance references available, the Offeror shall submit a statement indicating as such.

What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a base year and option years. The desired delivery date is on or before 31 December 2026. The contractor shall submit its planned technical approach to meet the requirements IAW with Government supplied drawings.

How will they pick the winner? The award will be made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offeror. To be considered technically acceptable, quote packages must include: 1. Quote the required items in the required quantity detailed above; 2. Indication of best delivery lead time. The Government will consider past performance information within the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) whereby any negative information may render a quote deemed technically unacceptable.

When and how do you bid? Quotes should be submitted electronically via email to Amy Prisco at Amy.K.Prisco.civ@US.NAVY. The quotes should include a validity date of no less than 90 days from due date for receipt of offers. The deadline for submission is June 5, 2026 at 2pm ET.

  • You must be a certified 8(a) business — no exceptions.

Heads up — easy to miss

  • There's a mandatory requirement for a valid Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification to access the Government documents. The Offeror must possess a valid DD 2345 form to obtain access to the drawings. Only offerors with a summary level score of a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171 DoD Assessment, of not more than three (3) years old from the date of this combined synopsis and solicitation, posted in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) will be eligible to receive a copy of the drawings. Additionally, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 (SELF) is applicable to this purchase.
