The Navy needs a certified 8(a) firm to build facilities at its bases in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

What exactly do they need? The Navy needs a contractor to build facilities at its bases in Connecticut and Rhode Island, including repairs to buildings, installation of fall protection systems, and renovation of toilet rooms and offices. The initial project will be miscellaneous repairs to Naval Submarine Support Facility Buildings at Naval Submarine Base New London, CT.

What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract is a 5-year IDIQ firm-fixed-price multiple award construction contract with a 1-year base period and 4 one-year option periods. The total estimated construction cost for all contracts is not to exceed $95,000,000.00.

How will they pick the winner? The Government will award no more than five (5) contracts to the responsible offerors whose proposals represent the best value after evaluation in accordance with the factors in the solicitation.

When and how do you bid? The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 02 August 2016. Offerors will be required to submit with their proposal a bid guarantee in a penal sum equal to at least 20 percent of the largest amount for which award can be made under the bid submitted, but in no case to exceed $3,000,000.
