• What exactly do they need? The contractor will replace fire alarm initiating devices and wires in Building 100 at the DLA Distribution San Joaquin CA facility in Tracy, CA. This includes replacing Apollo-Series software protocol devices with new Velociti-Series addressable devices, replacing conventional initiating circuit copper wiring with new addressable communication cables, and replacing existing fire sprinkler flow & tamper switches monitor modules with new Velociti-series addressable devices.
• What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract is a firm-fixed-price contract with a period of performance of 120 calendar days. The contractor will commence work upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and complete the entire work ready for use within 120 calendar days from receipt of the NTP.
• How will they pick the winner? The Government intends to award one contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
• When and how do you bid? The solicitation package will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov. The exact date and time for the pre-proposal/site visit will be stated in the solicitation package. The solicitation will also establish the bid opening date and time. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at http://www.sam.gov or an award cannot be processed.
