  • What exactly do they need? The Navy needs a small business to repair and modify fuse blocks for its ships. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase or contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part.
  • What's the contract structure and timeline? The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
  • How will they pick the winner? The Government will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice. The award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets the qualification requirement(s) at time of award.
  • When and how do you bid? The response deadline is July 6, 2026. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements.

  • Has experience with electrical component repair
  • Has a quality management system in place
