The Navy needs a small business to manufacture ground ring sleeves for its depots.

Key Details

What exactly do they need? The Navy needs a small business to manufacture ground ring sleeves with specific dimensions and material requirements. The sleeves must be cast in NICU per MIL-C-24723, UNS #M-30C (SUPERSEDING QQ-N-288, COMP-A), and meet certain dimensional, chemical, and mechanical certification standards. The vendor must also provide data requirements, including a certificate of compliance, vendor's VT procedure approval, and vendor's VT results/report.

What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, and the contract will be awarded based on lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA). The notice doesn't say how long the contract will last or when it will start.

How will they pick the winner? The Navy will evaluate the proposals based on the vendor's ability to meet the required specifications and provide the necessary data requirements.

When and how do you bid? Quoters must submit their quotes via email to jannell.m.moriarty.civ@us.navy.mil or DLA-KME-QUOTATIONS@DLA.MIL by June 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST. The quotes must include price(s), FOB point, Cage Code, a point of contact, name and phone number, GSA contract number if applicable, business size under the NAICS Code, and whether or not the company prefers payment by Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) or Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).

Routine commodity buy — low-effort bid, modest payoff.
