The USAF Test Pilot School needs a small business to provide heavy aircraft simulator services for staff evaluation and qualitative evaluation flights.
Key Details
- What exactly do they need?
The USAF Test Pilot School needs a small business to provide heavy aircraft simulator services for staff evaluation and qualitative evaluation flights. They need a Boeing Wide-Body (>300,000lbs MTOW) full-motion, Level-D simulator and an Airbus Wide-Body (>300,000lbs MTOW) full-motion, Level-D simulator. The simulators must be in the same location to allow students and faculty to complete a side-by-side comparison of the aircraft on the same day. The newest models of Boeing and Airbus aircraft are highly desired.
- What's the contract structure and timeline?
This is a one-year purchase order with a maximum file size of 10MB for email submissions. The Government may request the use of simulators in the development, research, and/or execution of Test Management Projects (TMPs).
- How will they pick the winner?
The Government will evaluate quotations using a Best Value Continuum, with technical acceptability and price being the key factors. The award will be made on the basis of the best value of each proposal as well as meeting/exceeding the acceptability of technical factors.
- When and how do you bid?
Submit proposals via email to carlos.barrera.8@us.af.mil by 20 Jul 2026 at 16:00 PDT. Please note that emails over 10MB will not be received. The Government anticipates awarding a single purchase order resulting from the RFQ to the responsible offeror whose quote is responsive to the RFQ and considered to be the Best Value.
Routine commodity buy — low-effort bid, modest payoff.
