The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) needs a small business to manufacture and deliver hydromet instruments and accessories. The acquisition of these instruments is essential to maintaining the accuracy, continuity, and integrity of NOAA's long-term sea-going flux observations.

  • What exactly do they need? NOAA needs sensors from Kipp & Zonen, specifically the CGR4 and CMP22 models, which offer comparable precision and accuracy to the Eppley PSP and PIR sensors that are no longer available. The sensors must meet the following requirements: CMP22 pyranometer, analog outputs, cable length, classification, digital outputs, directional response, drying cartridge and maintenance interval, external, IP rating, irradiance saturation, material enclosures, non-linearity, non-stability, operating humidity, operating temperature range, response time, sensitivity, spectral accuracy, temperature correction, weight, zero offset.
