- What exactly do they need? The VA needs ice makers and medical-grade refrigerators for its medical centers. The products must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified in the solicitation. The offeror must clearly identify the item by brand name, if any, and make or model number, and include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and commercial services. The contract will be awarded on an all-or-nothing basis. The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract.
- How will they pick the winner? The Government will evaluate quotations using the comparative evaluation process outlined in 3), where quotations will be compared to one another to determine which provides the best benefit to the Government. The Government reserves the right to consider a quotation other than the lowest price that provides additional benefit(s).
- When and how do you bid? Quotes shall be sent to Danzel.Streets@va.gov no later than 11:00pm CT, July 24, 2026. The deadline for all questions is 11:00pm CT, July 20, 2026.
