The NOAA needs IMS watertight sliding doors for its ships. These doors are critical for ensuring the watertight integrity of the ships while in port and underway on mission. The upgrade portion is to the control circuit cards, which are no longer supported.

The Government intends to acquire these parts under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The contract will be a sole-source contract with IMS, Inc.

The Government will determine if the party can meet all of the requirements, including an OEM letter to ensure authorization from the OEM for the above parts.
