What exactly do they need?
The Army wants to convert two existing barrack buildings into operational facilities for 3 tier levels of command at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The buildings are called the "Hammer Heads" and have three floors with a crawl space at grade elevation. The project requires hazardous material and debris abatement, partial demolition of the exterior building envelope, removal of building mechanical and electrical systems, and new exterior envelope, building mechanical and electrical systems, and roof TPO system.
What's the contract structure and timeline?
The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a duration of approximately 100% payment and performance bonds. The project is expected to start on or about 29 January 2026.
How will they pick the winner?
The Government will use a best value trade-off source selection process, considering non-price factors and price. The evaluation factors and their relative importance will be clearly stated in the solicitation.
