The Air Force needs a small business to repair a kiddie pool at Columbus AFB.
Key Details
The kiddie pool is located adjacent to the main base pool, within the aquatic center enclosure of the Columbus Club B944. The main pool as well as the kiddie pool were originally constructed in the early 1960s, with alterations and repairs happening in the early 1990s as well as the early 2010s. The kiddie pool basin construction type is fiberglass. The kiddie pool has developed leaks at its perimeter, where the fiberglass of the kiddie pool basin meets the concrete deck. The kiddie pool's existing skimmer is the only means for returning water to the pumping systems. This skimmer is undersized, forcing staff to significantly lower the water supply to the jets and sprayers to ensure the kiddie pool does not overfill. The deck drainage channel separating the kiddie pool from the nearby patio is also undersized.
