The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers needs a small business to repair damaged roadways, parking lots, and pavement markings at the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Area.

The Army Corps of Engineers needs a small business to repair damaged roadways, parking lots, and pavement markings at the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Area. This project consists of the repair of pavement surfacing by milling and overlaying asphalt at eight locations. The project includes approximately 17 miles of roadway and approximately 70 parking lots of varying sizes for a total of 250,000 sq yds of mill and overlay work.

  • What's the contract structure and timeline?

The contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with a base and two option CLINS. The base includes Modoc Campground, Parksville Day Use area, Petersburg Campground, Below Dam, Georgia and Winfield Campground. Option 1 is the Project Management Office/JST Visitor?s Center and Ridge Road Campground. Option 2 is Lake Springs Day Use. The estimated construction period is 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).

  • How will they pick the winner?

The Government will evaluate bids based on the lowest price technically acceptable.

The solicitation will be available on the System of Award Management (SAM) website, https://sam.gov. Offerors must have an active registration in the SAM database and an active Proposal Manager role in Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) at https://piee.eb.mil/.
