- What exactly do they need?
The contractor shall design and construct the Entry Control Facilities/Access Control Points (ECF/ACP) at Northwest Field, Andersen AFB to comply with current DoD Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) policies and UFC 4-022-01 Security Engineering: Entry Control Facilities / Access Control Points. The project includes the demolition of the existing gatehouse and any conflicting site features. Following demolition, the contractor will design and construct new, blast-rated, cast-in-place concrete structures designed to UL 752 Level III ballistic protection standards. The new structures include an entry canopy, inspection canopy, central gate house, guard booths, utility building, and an overwatch position. Site improvements include comprehensive clearing, grading, and the construction of new serpentine asphalt roadways, parking areas, and traffic islands. The contractor shall furnish and install active vehicle barriers (AVBs), a sliding crash gate, and passive barriers. The project also requires a complete overhaul of site utilities, including new electrical distribution with pad-mounted switchgear and a manual backup power system, a new wet-pipe automatic fire sprinkler system, a mass notification system, LED lighting, and new water and sanitary sewer lines. Prior to any ground disturbance activities, the contractor must conduct a comprehensive Munitions & Explosives of Concern (MEC) survey and clearance.
