The Navy needs a small business to provide grounds maintenance and landscaping services at several naval bases in Virginia, including Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, VA, and other areas of responsibility. The services include mowing, trimming, edging, trash and debris removal, aeration, de-thatching, fertilization, irrigation systems operation and maintenance, tree maintenance, tree control, vegetation and weed control.
- What's the contract structure and timeline?
The contract will be a Facility Support, Firm Fixed Price (FFP)/Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base period of one year and four 12-month option periods, plus one 6-month option period. The contract will not exceed 66 months.
- How will they pick the winner?
The Navy will use the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method to evaluate proposals. The evaluation factors include technical approach/management, corporate experience, safety, and past performance.
- When and how do you bid?
The solicitation will be posted on the SAM.gov website on or about July 30, 2026. The estimated proposal due date is at least 30 days after the RFP is posted.
