The VA needs a small business to renovate two buildings at its Hudson Valley Health Care System in New York.

  • What exactly do they need? The VA needs a contractor to renovate two buildings at its Hudson Valley Health Care System in New York. Building 14 AB will have 16 private bedroom/bathroom suites, a full kitchen, 8 offices, a day room, a recreation room, laundry rooms, and associated therapeutic clinical and support spaces. Building 14 CD will have 34 private bedroom/bathroom suites, a kitchenette, a day room, laundry rooms, and associated therapeutic clinical and support spaces. The work must comply with VA specifications and regulations, all applicable Federal, State, and Local codes, and specific regulations related to working at the VA Medical Center at Montrose.
  • What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, and the contract will be awarded to the best-value bidder. The project completion is expected to take 580 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
  • How will they pick the winner? The VA will evaluate bids based on the best-value tradeoff between price and non-price factors, including the contractor's past performance and technical capabilities.
  • When and how do you bid? Bids are due on September 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The solicitation will be released on or about August 3, 2026, and will be posted on www.sam.gov. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov, www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet), and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in https://search.certifications.sba.gov/ at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
