The VA needs a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to replace and modernize 14 elevators at the Garland VA Medical Center. The project includes replacing, modernizing, and/or repairing 10 electric elevators and 4 hydraulic elevators to correct functional deficiencies and bring all elevators up to current codes, ADA standards, and VA TIL design guidelines.
What's the contract structure and timeline?
The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract with a period of performance of approximately 512 calendar days for the construction portion and an additional 365 calendar days for guarantee period services.
How will they pick the winner?
The solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the tradeoff procedures listed in the solicitation.
When and how do you bid?
The solicitation will be issued in April 2026. The notice is not a request for competitive offers, and all questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to kara.evert@va.gov.
