- What exactly do they need? The U.S. Army needs a small business to repair roofs at Fort Meade, Maryland. The scope of work includes repairing roofing, resetting gutters, repairing lightning protection aerials, and patching spalled concrete. The facility includes 6 individual buildings totaling over 1M square feet. All work must meet ICD/JCS 705 secure facility requirements, and all contract employees must have a verifiable security clearance (minimum Secret) or a contractor-provided escort.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract procured under a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) process. The contract duration is approximately 545 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
- How will they pick the winner? The winner will be chosen based on the lowest price to the Government considering the evaluation factors.
- When and how do you bid? The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be released on or about 24 July 2026 with proposals due on or about 24 August 2026. The RFP will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all authenticated account holders of the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) at https://piee.eb.mil/.
