The Department of Veterans Affairs needs a small business to provide transitional housing for homeless veterans.

Key Details

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Durham VA Medical Center provide diagnostic and therapeutic services. This facility also provides homeless support services to those Veterans requiring resources to aid them in the procurement of permanent housing. The Contractor shall furnish transitional housing for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the Durham VA Medical Center (VA).

The contractor will provide Temporary Emergency Residential Shelter to include beds, restroom, bath, kitchen facilities, and related furnishings; adequate security measures, e.g., locks on windows and doors and area fenced, as well as security measures in accordance with VA standards and in conformance with state and local safety and health codes as outlined in 38 CFR, Section 17.53b. The contractor will also prepare food for a minimum of three balanced meals daily and snacks daily to each resident.
