The VA needs a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to upgrade bathrooms in nine Veteran Transitional Rehabilitation Houses at the Grand Island VA Medical Center. The work includes demolition/removal of existing fixtures, installation of new fixtures, and carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. The contractor will provide all necessary tools, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the project in accordance with general industry standards, project drawings, and the Statement of Work.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will be a firm fixed-price contract with a period of performance of 135 calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The award date will be within 60 calendar days from bid opening date.
- How will they pick the winner? The VA will evaluate bids based on price and technical acceptability.
- When and how do you bid? The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about August 1, 2026, and bids will be due at a later date to be specified in the IFB. Bidders must obtain all bidding documents via the System for Award Management (SAM) Contract Opportunities website.
