The U.S. Coast Guard needs a small business to manufacture and package valve solenoids for water diversion control.
Key Details
- What exactly do they need? The Coast Guard needs valve solenoids for water diversion control, individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E Method 10, cushioned and packed in an appropriately sized ASTM-D5118 double-wall fiberboard box. The solenoids must be made of PVC, 2W, 3/4" FNPT, 120V.
- What's the contract structure and timeline? This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, and the Coast Guard intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The contract will be awarded on an all or none basis to a responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is the most advantageous to the Government.
- How will they pick the winner? The Coast Guard will evaluate offers based on the lowest price technically acceptable.
- When and how do you bid? Quotations are due on June 29, 2026, at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time. Offerors must submit their quotes through SAM.gov.
Routine commodity buy — low-effort bid, modest payoff.
Who can apply
- Must be a certified small business
- Has experience with valve manufacturing
- Has a valid DUNS number and is registered with SAM.gov
Heads up — easy to miss
- The Coast Guard requires vendors to individually package, pack, mark, and bar-code the solenoids as specified in the solicitation. Failure to meet these requirements will result in warehouse rejection and the items will be shipped back to the vendor.
