• What exactly do they need? The Air Force needs a contractor to provide construction services for Westover Air Reserve Base in Massachusetts. This includes new construction, interior/exterior remodeling/renovation/repairs, and various disciplines such as civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, communications, intrusion/detection, audio/visual systems, and electrical disciplines. The estimated maximum contract amount is $7,500,000.00 including all options.
• What's the contract structure and timeline? The contract will consist of one base year and four (4) one-year option periods, if exercised. The Government will identify construction tasks and negotiate and issue firm-fixed-price task orders.
• How will they pick the winner? The Government will use the Tradeoff approach Source Selection procedures, resulting in the best value to the Government. The specific evaluation factors will be set forth in the solicitation.
• When and how do you bid? The solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov, and interested offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to an offeror other than the one with the lowest price.
