Women-Owned set-asides — common questions

What is a WOSB set-aside?expand_more

A contract set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses in NAICS industries where the SBA has determined women are underrepresented.

Who qualifies as a WOSB?expand_more

A small business at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens. You must be certified — either through the SBA or an approved third-party certifier — before bidding on a WOSB set-aside.

Set-Aside Pro is an independent publication, not affiliated with the SBA, the VA, or SAM.gov. Certification rules change — confirm current eligibility with the SBA before bidding.
